HTA Student Receives Award from the Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada

History and Theory of Architecture student, Tatianna Pinto, was awarded the Martin Eli-Weil Prize for best student essay on a Canadian architectural topic at this year’s Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada’s conference, held in Saint John, New Brunswick. Her paper, “Confederation Park: Modern Landscape and the Making of a Cultural Precinct in Ottawa,” charts the planning of and public reaction to the development of this important civic space and draws attention to the importance of modern landscape heritage.
