RENDER Podcast – Episode One
Welcome to the pilot episode of the Render Podcast for RENDER: the Carleton Graduate Journal of Art and Culture. We decided to give this podcast a try to complement our RENDER Blog and “de-academitize” conversations about art. Hosting the Render Podcast are two second-year MA Art History Candidates, Emily Putnam and Jessie Raymond. The conversations of this podcast are meant to be casual, informal, and most importantly, about art, culture, and life as a grad student!
During this episode, we discuss the short-listed nominees and winner of the 2016 Sobey Art Awards, Canada’s preeminent contemporary art prize for Canadian artists under 40. The exhibition is on display at the National Gallery of Canada until 5 February 2017.
Thanks for listening!
