Art History
Discover Art History at Carleton
Art is not what you think it is! The undergraduate art history program at Carleton University offers a unique breadth and depth of research expertise and teaching, covering art from various times and places around the world and with a strong investment in interdisciplinarity, and a critical global perspective. Rigorous and wide-ranging education is offered by enthusiastic and strongly student-oriented faculty in Canadian, Chinese, European, Indigenous, Islamic, Japanese and North American Pre-modern, Modern and Contemporary Art, and their transcultural/transnational exchanges and entanglements.
Our students appreciate our internship program that provide them with insights and experiences in the professional world. It goes without saying that the National Capital Region offers numerous exciting placements in institutions related to art and art history.
