PAPM Future Careers
Our graduates have pursued careers in the federal or provincial public service, as managers, advisors or policy analysts (researching and assessing policy problems and developing solutions). Some of our graduates work for municipal government, or for international organizations such as the United Nations. Others work as policy analysts or researchers for non-governmental organizations, such as the Maytree Foundation, which develops policies to address poverty; or for consulting firms such as Public Policy Forum or EY Consulting. Some work for Members of Parliament, or as campaign or communications directors for political parties or their leaders. Many BPAPM graduates go on to law school, or graduate school – usually for degrees in International Affairs, or Public Policy and Administration – but some choose degrees in other areas, and five of our graduate students are working as academics in Canadian and U.S. universities.
