New Students

Online Photo Submission FAQs

You only need a Campus Card if you are using on-campus resources (Athletics, Library, door access to Residence or labs). We do NOT mail Campus Cards. The Campus Card Office also provides you with your transit card (U-Pass).

Step 1: Register for Classes

We can only produce your card(s) when you are registered in a current or upcoming term. To avoid disappointment, please also check the transit card (U-Pass) distribution dates. We can’t provide your U-Pass early.

Step 2: Submit Your Photo

If you already have an approved photo on file, or are a Special Student, you may NOT use this online submission process. Instead, you can visit our office.

IMPORTANT: use a laptop or desktop to access this service for best results.

  1. Check our photo requirements. Use a JPG file type for best results.
  2. Sign into the Web Card Centre with your MyCarletonOne credentials.
  3. Select “My Photo” and “Submit Photo” from the top menu.

Step 3: Check your photo status

Verify that your Web Card Centre notifications are active for photo uploads, and check your Carleton email for updates. We will review your image within 3 business days. TIP: If you don’t know how to access your Carleton email, contact Information Technology Services (ITS).

If your photo was accepted, you will receive instructions for picking up your Campus Card and (if applicable) your U-Pass in the email notification.

If your photo was rejected, you need to resubmit it following the same steps. The email notification will tell you what was wrong – make sure you are choosing a new image when necessary!

Step 4: Get your Card(s)

After your photo is accepted, you will receive instructions for picking up your Campus Card and (if applicable) your U-Pass in the email notification. To avoid disappointment, please check the transit card (U-Pass) distribution dates. We can’t provide your U-Pass early.

TIP: Are you moving into Residence or attending one (or more) of the following orientation sessions? – CU 1001 Experience Day (SEO)I-Start Orientation (ISSO)New Graduate Student Orientation (FGPA). If you have met all communicated deadlines, when you do not need to visit our office. For your convenience, your cards will be made available to you when you arrive for your chosen program or move-in date. Please remember to bring a valid piece of government-issued photo ID with you.

Have you lost your Campus Card? Access the Web Card Centre to temporarily deactivate it now. This protects your information, should your card be found. To replace your lost or damaged Campus Card or UPass, please visit our office in person. Our staff will reissue your card, deactivating all card credentials. Please note that this process is irreversible. Should you find your old card, we will not be able to reactivate it, and we recommend that it be destroyed. There is a fee of $24 for a replacement Campus Card, and $25 for a replacement UPass. You can choose to pay with debit or credit, otherwise have the fee charged to your Student Account.
