What to Expect
Listen to presenters from the City of Ottawa and view a multimedia presentation covering the following topics relating to their summer student employment programs:
- Key benefits and learning opportunities for students
- Success stories from previous years
- Application process and important dates
The presentation will likely be followed by a short networking portion in which students can interact with the presenter and ask questions.
How to Prepare
- Get your resume updated! Consider visiting Career Services (401 Tory Building) for a review of your resume; drop-in hours are Monday-Friday 1-4 PM.
- Dress for success! Plan to dress as if you were going to a job interview. It is recommended to wear business casual for this type of event.
- Research the employer ahead of time. Read about some of the services the City of Ottawa provides on their main webpage, and the types of jobs they offer on their careers page.
