The Winter Career & Networking Fair is coming up on Wednesday, February 5, and Career Services is here to help you prepare for the fair!
Knowing how to network with employers will help you make the most out of attending a career and networking fair, whether you’re looking for part-time, full-time, or co-op jobs. Organize your networking questions and learn how to identify the skills, academic background, and qualifications employers are looking for.
At this workshop, you will:
- Discover the importance of networking in building connections
- Learn how to create your elevator pitch
- Learn how to articulate your skills and experiences
- Gain effective networking strategies that will help you stand out from the crowd
- Discover how to utilize networking as a tool to access the hidden job market
- Obtain tips on following up with employers after an event to help you develop long-lasting connections
