The Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence and the Canadian Defence and Security Network are pleased to co-host an EU Policy Talks event, Europe in the Digital Age: The Challenge of Cyber Defence, with Didier Danet, Academy of Saint-Cyr (France).
Meeting the security and defence challenges of the digital world is a major concern shared by public and private actors in Europe. Should the European Union play a leading role in this context, even though defence is a key competence of Member States? How would it be possible to coordinate efforts between the EU, Member States and NATO?
Dr. Didier Danet is a Senior Lecturer in the Military Academy of Saint-Cyr, France. His current fields of research focuses on “Conflict Transformation in Contemporary Warfare.”
This event is free and open to the public. No registration is requested.
This event is co-sponsored by Carleton University’s Centre for European Studies Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence with the support of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and the Canadian Defence and Security Network which is housed with The Norman Paterson School of International Affairs.
