Dr. Alexander McClelland speaks with the Toronto Star about a new report co-authored with PhD student Sarah Speight from the Tracking (In)justice Project on the increase in deaths at provincial jails. The report was released in partnership with the Canadian Civil Liberties Association [link:” https://ccla.org/criminal-justice/new-report-released-ontario-deaths-in-custody-on-the-rise/]. Tracking (In)justice is a law enforcement and criminal justice data and transparency project that brings together civil society and academics to track and analyze police-involved and carceral deaths across Canada. The project is led by McClelland and supported by a SSHRC Partnership Development Grant.
