CUES-CGES 2nd Major Joint Event of 2017–2018

Please join us Tuesday November 28 for the second of this year’s major joint events hosted by the Carleton Undergraduate Economics Society (CUES) and
the Carleton Graduate Economics Society (CGES). After a pizza and soft drink reception, Walter Engert, most recently Senior Director of Research at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions Canada (OSFI), will give a presentation entitled “Contingent capital and bail-in”.
In addition to his role at OSFI, Walter was with the Bank of Canada for nearly 25 years, in roles that included Director of Financial Stability, Assistant Chief Regulation and Systems, and Assistant Chief Monetary Studies. He also spent three years in the role of Advisor to Executive Director at the International Monetary Fund.
