Winter 2025 term advising sessions are available for any first-year (new or returning) engineering students. Advising sessions are recommended to:

  • discuss your academic performance in courses,
  • make changes to your registration (dropping or adding courses),
  • review prerequisites needed to progress to second year,
  • discuss reduced courseload options, or
  • learn strategies or seek support for managing the first-year engineering workload.

How to Book an Academic Advising Session

Academic advising sessions for first year engineering students are booked using the link below. 30-minute advising sessions are available Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons – all sessions are virtual via MS Teams.
You will receive a confirmation of your booked session via email that includes the link to join your session.

When booking an advising session, please ensure you enter accurate student number (CUID) and your @cmail.carleton.ca email address to complete your booking. Login using Carleton (cmail) credentials is required to access this advising session booking page.
