On Campus Opportunities
Bring your students to campus
The Faculty of Engineering and Design offers many opportunities for you to take your teaching outside of the classroom. Bring your students on to campus to visit our world-class engineering facilities and participate in workshops that will enhance their inquiry-based learning. For more information, or to begin planning your visit, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
High School Workshops
Bring your class to Carleton for a High School Workshop which can count towards the SHSM (Specialist High Skills Major) program! These workshops include a hands-on STEM activity, a mini-university style lecture, and a tour of our exciting engineering and design labs and facilities.

Request an In-Person Presentation
In-person presentations are offered for high schools and middle schools located between the Ottawa and Windsor regions.
Request a Virtual Presentation
Virtual presentations are offered for any class around the world.
K-12 STEM Workshops
Virtual Ventures (operated under the Faculty of Engineering and Design) offers a variety of dynamic school workshops, at low cost (or no cost) to schools. Each Virtual Ventures workshop is between 1.5-3 hours in length, led by two current Carleton university students (in STEM disciplines) and are intended for 20-30 students. These programs have been designed in accordance with the Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum.
Workshops are hands-on, fun, interactive, and have been designed with direct connections to the Ontario curriculum.
These workshops can be delivered at your location (school) or on campus at Carleton University.
Virtual Tours
Both our self-guided and live (guided) virtual tours allow you to virtually visit the classrooms, facilities, and services that make up our departments and schools.
