The Rideau Community Hub established a unique work-integrated-learning (WIL) placement for BID students – Ben Wright – to apply his design skills at the Rideau Community Hub as “Designer-in-Residence”. Funding for this Summer placement results from a number of sources including i-CUREUS. Ben was granted a $5,000 microgrant by the Ontario Community Changemakers! He is one of only 20 or so youth in the province to have received this award. He also received funding through Youth Ottawa’s Amplified Fellowship program.
