Students worked on community-related design challenges under the supervision of Won Joon Chung in collaboration with Parks Canada and the City of Ottawa. Students were given the choice of 2 projects.
- Design low-cost water-level interventions to improve ease of crossing the Rideau Canal at Hartwell’s locks or the Locks at the entrance to the Ottawa River.
- Design the most innovative and feasible recycling system for multi-tenant building users.
Under the supervision of Miles Hammond and in collaboration with Coral Reef Restoration Foundation a student examined coral restoration and developed new tools and mechanisms for distribution and planting of coral shoots.
