Students worked on community-related design challenges under the supervision of Won Joon Chung in collaboration with Parks Canada and the City of Ottawa. Students were given the choice of 2 projects.

  1. Design low-cost water-level interventions to improve ease of crossing the Rideau Canal at Hartwell’s locks or the Locks at the entrance to the Ottawa River.
  2. Design the most innovative and feasible recycling system for multi-tenant building users.

Under the supervision of Miles Hammond and in collaboration with Coral Reef Restoration Foundation a student examined coral restoration and developed new tools and mechanisms for distribution and planting of coral shoots.
