This month, Academic Computing Services successfully implemented the Luminis Data Integration (LDI) project.
Background
The goal of the project was to replace the majority of in-house batch scripts running between Banner and the Luminis/Portal/WebCT system with a near real-time data synchronization process. After months of planning, testing and working closely with the Project Office to ensure deliverables were met on time and on budget, implementation officially began May 9th.
Outcome
The successful implementation of the LDI project now ensures that information, such as student identification and course enrollment data, passed between the two key systems is accurate, consistent and timely.
