What began as a student/faculty ID card can now be used across campus for making purchases (food, books), for printing /copying materials and for securing door access. The Campus Card has since further evolved to facilitate the needs of Tourism and Conferencing Services* staff and participants.

In May Campus Card integrated with Tourism and Conferencing Services to transform the once manual task of providing meal plans, vending, and laundry services to Conference attendees – a task that took approximately 15 minutes per attendee – into an efficient and effective electronic process with the added benefit of keyless access to residences.

This integration has streamlined processes and improved customer service while reducing operational costs and wait times. Since the integration was quietly rolled out in May, over 40,000 individual transactions have been processed electronically.

Next month in This Month @ ITS we will look at how Campus Card provides secure access to over 350 doors across the campus.
