The Technical support group, in conjunction with ITS Client Services, has completed another Oracle 10g to Oracle 11g upgrade.

The most recent conversion was the Carleton Service Manager (CSM) database, which took place in January.

These conversion projects, which will continue over the coming months, ensure:

  • technical currency, and
  • continued vendor support for our applications and data base software.

Software vendors encourage upgrades to minimize their support commitments and we as customers of those vendors try to reduce the number of versions we need to support as well.
