The Carleton Content Management System (CMS) project was initiated in 2007 with the aim of getting all front facing Carleton university websites on a single, consistent template. There are now over 250 websites on the CMS all with the same look and feel.

It was time for that look to get updated.

Over the summer Web Services applied a new and improved template to over 100 CMS websites.

The new site designs offer a clean and modern look, built to maximize accessibility and improve search functionality.

One new feature that should be a benefit to our clients is the distraction free writing.  Once a client is in the full screen mode and begins writing, everything else in their browser view will fade away, leaving only a title and content area to work with.

Web Services will work with clients over the fall to move the remaining 150 websites into the new look and feel.
