IBM SPSS licenses are renewed in each year in November. Due to the IBM acquisition of SPSS Corporation, multiple process changes continue with regards to our Site Licence renewal. Your patience is appreciated as we work through these changes with IBM SPSS. Current licenses for IBM SPSS and associated products will expire on December 1, 2011. After this date, a new licence must be purchased.
Please note the following changes:
- IBM SPSS Corporation has increased the cost for the IBM SPSS software licenses and as a result this new cost will be passed on to new and current customers of IBM SPSS software.
- Data Entry Builder / Data Entry Station and the AnswerTree modules are no longer available.
To renew your IBM SPSS licenses for the coming year, please take payment for the number of copies you need to the Hardware Services Group. When payment has been received a new code will be issued for the specific version(s) of IBM SPSS you will be running. DVDs and codes are now ready for distribution through Hardware Services effective immediately.
IBM SPSS
If you have been running older versions of IBM SPSS, you will be required to upgrade to either PASW Statistic Base v19 or v20. IBM SPSS Corporation no longer provides support for older versions of software. The annual fee still applies and new license codes must be entered to continue access through to 2012. ITS has codes for IBM SPSS Statistic Base v19 and v20. If you re-new for version 19, but later decide to remove it and upgrade to a newer version in the same licence year, you will pay the annual fee only once per copy per year (upgrades are free within the same year).
Please note: Clients must keep their access codes in order to receive the free upgrade.
IBM SPSS Statistics Base
IBM SPSS Statistic Base for Windows, Macintosh and Linux in version 19 and 20 are now available.
IBM SPSS AMOS and IBM SPSS SamplePower:
IBM SPSS Amos for Windows in version 19 and 20 and IBM SPSS SamplePower v3.0 are also available.
Payment is required for license renewal and new codes to continue running through 2012.
Note: All ‘Authorization and Access Codes’ must be kept and provided when requesting an upgrade to another version of software within the same year. This also applies for reloads & reinstalls of IBM SPSS software or when computers require reimaging.
