This last fiscal year was a big one for Web Services. Not only did we become a department within ITS, we successfully completed a two year project to move Carleton’s departmental and administrative websites into a centralized Content Management System.
Carleton CMS Achievements
The CMS provides our clients with an easy to use web-interface which separates content from presentation.
- Completed Carleton CMS Project with 186 sites migrated to the Carleton Content Management System
- Completed first major template upgrade
Collaborations
Outside of the CMS offering, we also provide custom site engagements that, in the cases below, work to reduce the amount of paper consumption on campus and to deliver innovative forums for communication.
- Launched new Carleton.ca homepage
- Launched Carleton Now online magazine
- Launched Research Works online magazine
- Launched Alumni online magazine
- Launched the Carleton Community Engagement Bulletin Board

In our efforts to create a Web Community here at Carleton we have started to get the ball rolling on a few initiatives.
