Over the weekend, Windows 7 was unintentionally rolled out to over 450 workstations ahead of schedule.

This upgrade was applied to workstations in a variety of locations across campus. ITS has been working throughout the weekend to identify the affected workstations and develop a plan to support our customers.

For most people, all files, customized bookmarks, and common applications will still be accessible and available on the desktop.  In cases where there was speciality software or programs, these applications may not have been migrated.  ITS will work with departments to prioritize the reinstallation of any necessary applications.

We sincerely apologize for the disruption that this has caused to operations. This is not indicative of the way that ITS deploys new software to computers.
