Please be advised that some Maplesoft customers have received a SPAM message claiming to be from Maplesoft. The message says the following:


“Please be aware that the security team of MAPLE has recently discovered a potential vulnerability in all major MAPLE products that can lead to personal data loss. We highly advise you to install the patch which fixes this problem.”
Recipients of this message received an attachment called Maple_Patch.zip which they are asked to extract using the password MapleSecuirityUpdate1707.

 

Please be advised that this patch did not originate from Maplesoft and should not be opened under any circumstances. If you receive this email, delete it. The origins of this email are currently under investigation.
