Facilities Management and Planning (FMP) request that everyone shut down their computers and turn off all unnecessary electrical equipment before leaving campus on Friday, July 19. The power reduction is necessary to allow FMP to perform maintenance on the main incoming high voltage electrical switchgear in the Bronson substation.
FMP will be shutting down the main ventilation systems and air conditioning in all buildings on campus, except for the residence buildings, Life Science Research Building, and possibly Athletics.
This power reduction will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday and remain in effect until 6 a.m. Saturday morning.
