Please be aware: destructive email viruses continue to be sent to some Carleton.ca email addresses.

These viruses are typically disguised as .zip files containing faxes or scanned documents.  The recent viruses are very new and not detected by many anti-virus vendors, including Symantec.

If opened, these viruses will damage your shared network drive and try to grab your e-banking credentials.

Protect yourself from harmful viruses by never opening unexpected email attachments.

If you think you may have been infected, or if you have any questions, please contact the ITS Service Desk at its.service.desk@carleton.ca or at 520-3700.
