On August 15, ITS upgraded Carleton’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI). As part of this upgrade, the name has changed from myDesktop to cuDesktop. Users will also notice slight enhancements to the interface, performance improvements, and an updated image to Windows 10 with the latest software.
Please note: after launching the VDI you may need to upgrade VMware Horizon client. If required, you will receive a prompt to do so.
Carleton’s Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) provides an alternative to physical computer labs and is used for courses which require students have access to course-specific software during course lectures. It allows students access to applications without needing them to be installed on their own laptop or tablet.
