On Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, ITS will begin rolling out advanced protection features and tools in the Microsoft 365 environment for all staff and faculty members at Carleton University. As an added benefit of these tools, Microsoft is now providing audio conferencing for Microsoft Teams or Skype for Business Online, allowing meeting participants to join by phone.
On Aug. 17, 2022 or after, Carleton staff and faculty members will receive an email from Microsoft announcing the availability of this new feature and providing individual dial-in information, along with a personal PIN. The email will indicate that you have been successfully upgraded to the Office 365 A5 license level, and that audio conferencing options will be automatically added to the meetings you organize.
