cuTheme, Carleton’s new web template with an enhanced design, feel and functionality, grew a great deal in 2023-24. Powered by WordPress and its new Gutenberg editor, cuTheme is underpinned by the Raven Design System (RDS) which provides web managers across the university with a common, block-based visual language. RDS was developed in collaboration with the Department of University Communications.
These components coalesced in the past academic year, allowing ITS to begin piloting cuTheme with a select group of web managers ahead of a campus-wide rollout in 2024-25.
