cuTheme, Carleton University’s new web template with an enhanced design, feel and functionality, grew a great deal in 2023-2024.
Powered by WordPress and its new Gutenberg editor, cuTheme is underpinned by the Raven Design System (RDS) which provides web managers across the university with a common, block-based visual language. RDS was developed in collaboration with the Department of University Communications.
Finance and Administration Websites Lead the Way
Websites from departments within the Finance and Administration Division have been leading the charge, with 10 sites within the division fully migrated to the new theme, including carleton.ca/finance-admin.
Five additional Finance and Administration websites are set to receive their cuTheme refresh shortly.
General Availability Coming Soon
With conceptualization, development and testing now complete, web managers across campus will begin to see communications about cuTheme leading up to general availability later this fall.
“Thank you to Web Services and others in ITS for their effort in bringing cuTheme to life,” said Joseph Nelson, Director of Enterprise Applications. “The Unix team also deserves special recognition for their work to make cuTheme possible.
