Adobe Creative Cloud

Users need to ensure their devices meet the system requirements listed at this link.

Users are permitted to activate their Creative Cloud license simultaneously on up to two devices. Activating additional devices will prompt the user to deactivate a previous license activation.

For departments that fund licenses for their students, faculty or staff, the cost per license is $161 CDN.  Where no departmental funding is available, the cost to purchase an individual ETLA license is $164 CDN and includes a 1.9% credit card fee and $0.05 transaction fee.  For both conditions, licenses are valid from the date of purchase, through until the annual September renewal date of our principal agreement.

The annual renewal date for individual Creative Cloud licenses is September 15.

There are no prorated options available for purchasing a Creative Cloud license through ITS.  The cost is $164 CDN and would be valid from the date of purchase, through until the next annual September renewal date.

Any software that is required for professional or teaching duties would be eligible as a PER Fund expense if funds are available. For more information, please visit this Professional Expense Reimbursements page. Similarly, software that is specifically required for research may be covered by Internal Research Funds. In this case, users should check with their department to confirm.

All credit card purchases are final, however, a refund may be requested under certain circumstances. Please refer to the Terms of Service document regarding refunds.

Although Acrobat is included in the full Creative Cloud suite of apps, there is no option to acquire this as an individual item.  A full Creative Cloud license purchase is necessary to access this or any other individual application in the suite.  For users interested in editing PDF documents, ITS is offering Foxit PDF Editor as an alternative to Adobe Acrobat.  Visit our Foxit site for more info.
