Microsoft 365 Copilot (paid version)

While the free version of Copilot Chat is available at no cost when signed in with your MC1 and ensures your prompts aren’t used for generative AI training, the paid M365 Copilot offers these additional features:

• Copilot access to the account holder’s Exchange, OneDrive and MS Teams sites.
• Copilot integration with desktop MS Office apps, MS Teams and OneNote.

ITS will obtain a quote on behalf of the client, from our authorized Microsoft reseller, Softchoice. Once client has reviewed and approved the quote, ITS will continue to facilitate the purchase and provisioning of the software license.

The initial purchase of a M365 Copilot subscription may be charged against either a P-card or a departmental FOAPAL. However, after the initial purchase, any subsequent renewals for M365 Copilot subscriptions (May 1, 2026 onward) will require that a departmental FOAPAL be used.  ITS will contact applicable users as the renewal date approaches.

All Microsoft software requests must be purchased through Softchoice as they are the third-party software distribution vendor for the Carleton Microsoft Campus Agreement.
