Description: Microsoft Office includes features and shortcuts for the things you do most often, like creating professional-looking presentations, working on spreadsheets, or word processing.  Applications included:

For WIndows:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Publisher, Outlook, OneNote, Skype for Business
For MAC OS:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote
(Please note that Access, Publisher and Skype for Business are not available in the MAC OS version).

How to Get: As of May 1, 2018 the MS Office Suite for at home-use through the MS Home Use Program (HUP) is no longer available.

However, the MS Office Suite is available through MS Office 365 for Education program.

You must use your full staff/faculty Outlook/Exchange email address when signing up for this program:   (example: use  janedoe@cunet.carleton.ca  ←  do not use jane.doe@carleton.ca)

License details: Faculty & Staff, who use the MS Office licenses at work are eligible to use the Office applications at no additional cost on up to 5 devices during the term of their employment. 

This license periodically “phone home” to Microsoft to ensure that the email address with which they were activated, is still that of an existing employee at Carleton.

This license/software will expire when the Carleton University Microsoft Campus Agreement expires, or upon termination of employment with Carleton University.

Support: Please note that ITS does not provide support for the MS Office 365 suite applications.
