1. What if I need access to LinkedIn Learning?
Faculties, departments, academic units and individuals can purchase LinkedIn Learning subscriptions directly from LinkedIn. More information is available here.
Faculties, departments and academic units seeking multiple licenses can contact the ITS Service Desk. If there is sufficient interest and funding, ITS Client Services can negotiate for volume pricing.
2. Will LinkedIn Learning communicate to end-users the loss of service?
No, LinkedIn Learning will not communicate the loss of service to end-users. ITS will send out notifications leading up to the expiry date and post announcements on the Carleton Top 5.
3. What will happen to my learning history?
Once our subscription expires on September 22, 2023 access to your learning history will no longer be viewable. Prior to this date, you can download your learning certificates. Alternatively, you can connect your Learning Account to your LinkedIn Profile and add certificate links to your profile.
4. Why is this service ending?
We recently evaluated our LinkedIn Learning service offering to ascertain usage rates. The results indicated that usage was very low, and therefore a campus-wide license was not warranted.
