On December 9th, The Ottawa Citizen re-published Tiffany MacLellan‘s Op-Ed “The myth of the apolitical museum” (originally published in Rabble December 3rd). Using the CAPP and Museum of Civilization’s new financial agreement as an example, her contribution takes issue with mis-guided claims in media which render museums neutral public spaces.
MacLellan is a PhD Candidate at Carleton University in the Department of Law and Legal Studies. Her research explores how museums in Germany and the United States discuss, memorialize and visually represent war-crime trials.
