Associate Prof. Christiane Wilke is featured as an invited speaker at the international conference, Legal Frames of Memory: Transitional Justice in Central and Eastern Europe (27-29 November 2013) in Warsaw, Poland.
Prof. Wilke’s presentation, “East of the Rule of Law”, examines how commitments to the rule of law in German transitional justice have been crafted by contrasting the ‘Western’ rule of law to alleged lawless, immoderate and arbitrary uses of state power in ‘the East’.
