The Graduate Committee in the Department of Law and Legal Studies was presented with many outstanding nominations for the Chet Mitchell Memorial Award in Law this year. Out of these outstanding nominees, the Committee concluded that this year the deserving winner of the Chet Mitchell Memorial Award in Law would be Andre Arnet-Zargarian.
Professors praised Andre’s outstanding contributions in the classroom and beyond. Andre is a “key leader of classroom discussion” and “often introduced a different way of reading that sparked classroom discussions,” said one professor. Another stated, “… he has been an engaged and critical student who has added significantly to class discussion.” Andre’s excellent written work showed an “impressive depth of understanding” of difficult texts and could serve as the groundwork for larger projects to come, Prof. Peter Swan added.
The Department of Law and Legal Studies is proud to present this award to Andre-Arnet-Zargarian, the winner of the 2014 Chet Mitchell Memorial Award in Law.
