The 2014 Achievement Awards recipients have officially been announced, and we have some proud news!

awardsCongratulations to our own Prof. Margaret Ogilvie, whose research has been recognized this year with a Research Achievement Award. Annually, Carleton University honours excellence of its professional librarians, teachers and researchers.

The pursuit of excellence in teaching and research are foundations of Carleton University and, without question, our 2014 achievement award recipients excel in their efforts. Researchers are discovering new areas of knowledge, from understanding the impacts of international cultural organizations on global security, to identifying the feedback systems between the biosphere and climate. Professors are integrating experiential learning opportunities in the classroom and providing students with opportunities to engage with cutting-edge research and their local and global communities. Contract instructors are encouraging critical thinking and inspiring creative inquiry. Professional librarians are facilitating student needs for access to, and use of, information and knowledge in all its forms. Together, the Carleton community is demonstrating leadership in research, innovation and education.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2014.
