Prof. Christiane Wilke‘s op-ed piece entitled “Civilians at War” has been published in the Ottawa Citizen.
Using the framework of the current conflict in Gaza, the article writes on the media coverage of war. Prof. Wilke points out that attention must be paid to the ways in which notions of ‘combatant’ and ‘civilian’ are created in the news.
