Researchers:

Dr. Rebecca Jaremko Bromwich –Director, Graduate Diploma in Conflict Resolution, Carleton University, Department of Law and Legal Studies

and

Dr. Thomas Stuart Harrison – Faculty Member, Queen’s University Faculty of Law

Unlike lawyers, paralegals, teachers, or other professionals who serve the public, mediators are not subject in Ontario to self-regulation, or governmental regulation as a profession. With the purpose of understanding attitudes and views members of the public generally and professionals who work in the legal services sector specifically about how mediators should be regulated, we are conducting a survey.

This is an anonymous online survey. It will take approximately 5 minutes of your time to complete.

You can complete the survey at this link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/S755CPQ

Your responses will help us to understand how Ontarians feel about the way in which mediators are regulated, they ways they are unregulated, and how they should be regulated. Participation in the research is completely anonymous and entirely voluntary; participants may choose to stop participating at any time. Data obtained will be securely stored and not kept in association with any identifying information about participants.

This research has been reviewed and approved by Carleton University’s office for research and ethics.
