Sarah Ramsay is an Ottawa born saxophonist, flutist and clarinetist as well as a composer and arranger. Ramsay began studying in Ottawa with Mike Tremblay and has since had the honour to study with Mark Promane, Kirk MacDonald, Alex Dean, Johnny Griffith and Dave Neill. Ramsay has completed a Bachelor of Music performance degree with honours at Humber College as well as completed Humber College’s Introduction to Commercial Jazz Certificate Program with honours.
Ramsay has been featured in projects such as Jessica Spurrell’s album A Blessing, A Pearl, Kia Rose’s “Commitment Issues” on the album Phases, Bryce Malenstyn’s “Blame it on the Weather” and is a regular member of the Carandang Pincente Jazz Orchestra (CPJO) based in Toronto. Sarah Ramsay is releasing a fusion-rock EP under the artist name RAMSAY in August 2024.
