Dear colleagues, dear philosophy students,
I couldn’t be more thrilled to share the news that, as of July 1st, we have a new permanent Departmental Administrator. Her name is Rima Sanaallah, you all know her, and you also know that the department could not be in more capable hands!
In her role as Graduate Administrator over the past couple of years, Rima has won our trust and proved that she has all the qualities required for this demanding position. She was trained by our dear Sandy and already knows the Department inside and out. With her energy, sense of initiative, passion, and strength, Rima is exactly the Administrator we need as we enter an exciting phase of renewal in the life of the department.
I want to thank our core administrative team (M. Frankel and Ch. Koggel) who served with me on this hiring committee in collaboration with the Dean’s office. The hiring process for our new Graduate Administrator will begin shortly and hopefully, I will be able to make another exciting announcement by the end of the summer. My hope is to have our new administrative team all trained and ready to go as we enter the new academic year and gradually return to Paterson Hall.
