We are pleased to share the news of Dr. Josh Redstone’s appointment as a two year Term Instructor in Philosophy of Mind, Cognitive Science, AI, and Moral Psychology starting July 1st, 2023. Welcome aboard (in this new capacity), Dr. Redstone!
Over the past four years, Dr. Redstone has made an invaluable contribution to the department both as an instructor and as an inspiring research mentor. He has taught an impressive number of different courses in Philosophy and in Cognitive Science, including Intro to Philosophy of Mind, Moral Psychology, Philosophy of Emotions, Philosophy of Technology, and Minds and Machines, among others.
Marina Nekrasova, the student whose research is supervised by Dr. Redstone co-and Emeritus Professor Andrew Brook (see: https://carleton.ca/philosophy/2022/marina-jeremy-spotlight/), was recently awarded the prestigious Peter J. Ricketts Outstanding Provost Scholar Award. Dr. Redstone has been a vital part of helping Marina accomplish so much!
Our students have been extremely fortunate to be able to count on your pedagogical contribution, Dr. Redstone, and the appointment acts as a recognition of this important role. We simply cannot wait to collaborate more closely with you as a member of our department!
