He will be discussing his co-edited book Viapolitics: Borders, Migration and the Power of Locomotion (Duke University Press, 2022) along with panellists Philippe Frowd (University of Ottawa), Azar Masoumi (Carleton University) and Samir Gandesha (Simon Fraser University).
What would migration studies look like if its accounts of struggle took boats, buses, railways and planes more seriously? This is the question at the heart of viapolitics.
