On Oct 3 Canada’s House of Commons elected Greg Fergus as its new Speaker. He is the first Black Canadian to hold the post. Fergus was first elected to office in the 2015 federal election, and is a member of the Liberal Party.
Fergus completed his BA in Political Science with a Concentration in International Relations at Carleton (2002).
