November 23, 2023 at 2:30 PM to 4:00 PM

Location:A602 Loeb Building
Cost:Free

What skills or experience should I emphasize in my application package?
What can I learn from current MA students or alumni about how to get in to the program?
What is the difference between an MA thesis and a Major Research Paper (MRP)?
Who should I approach for reference letters?
What is a ‘Statement of Intent’?
What does co-operative education look like at the Master’s level?
Will an MA help me get into the career I want?
What can I get from the dual MA program with the Department of Political Science at the University of Lucerne in Switzerland?

If you have been asking any of these questions lately, come to an information session on applying to the Carleton MA program in political science!

The session will be led by the Christina Gabriel, Supervisor of Graduate Studies, and Peter Andrée, Associate Supervisor of Graduate Studies in Political Science. We will also hear from current students, MA program alumni, and Brookes Fee, Graduate Program Administrator, on how to put your best foot forward in your application.

Applications for admission to graduate programs may be submitted at any time. However, applicants who wish to increase their chances for an offer of admission with financial support must apply no later than January 31st, 2024.

The session is open to all undergraduate students.
