Have black squares on a Zoom call got you feeling like you are speaking into the void? Not to worry – in this fun workshop we will explore what you can do to get your students to engage if you are in an online setting!

Active learning can be tricky if done online, but there are multiple strategies and tools available that you can use to make learning meaningful even if stuck on Zoom. Beyond the few eager-beavers who speak up no matter where/when, the amazing host of tools available online to engage students and get them to work either individually or together, creatively or in assessment, allows active learning to thrive in a Zoom call. Come explore this together in a fun workshop!

*TA’s are able to receive 5 hours of paid pedagogic training per academic year in addition to learning valuable tools/skills to use in your classes/tutorials.
