Tired of listening to your own voice and want to bring out the most of your learner’s varied knowledge?
Not to worry – active learning is a key way to not only re-engage your learners but bring together the wisdom that’s already available in your students’ collective knowledge.
Active learning has been effectively used in a variety of contexts and academic disciplines, so it’s a useful tool for everyone no matter the department you are in. The key tenet is to engage the learner by making them do some of the work and bring forth the things they already know! Getting your students to participate might seem impossible in some cases, so join in this workshop to figure out how to adjust a variety of active learning strategies to your specific teaching context!
