Associate, Mamann, Sandaluk & Kingwell LLP
BA in Political Science and Human Rights with Honours and a Minor in Law, 2012
Since graduating from Carleton’s Political Science program, I have had the opportunity to work in both the public and private sectors. Shortly before graduating in 2012, I obtained a full-time job with the Federal Government through the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP) with the Department of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada. This has led to a career exclusively in Canadian immigration law. In 2015 I left the public service to attend law school at the University of Ottawa. Completing my undergraduate studies in Political Science at Carleton left me well-prepared for law school and I successfully earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa in 2018. After completing my articles in Toronto at a full-service immigration firm, I moved back to Ottawa in 2019 where I worked at a boutique immigration firm until 2021 when I briefly ran my own practice. In December of 2021, I joined Mamann, Sandaluk & Kingwell LLP where I continue to assist clients with a full range of immigration applications.
Studying Political Science at Carleton allowed me to learn from some of the most thoughtful and engaging professors. I felt challenged by my coursework and the courses I took prepared me well for my future roles first in the public service and now as the owner of my own law firm.
