While still a student at Carleton, I began working on Parliament Hill as a tour guide and a Senate Page – the ultimate compliment to my Political Science studies. Upon graduation, I began working as a Policy Advisor to a Senator, a role I held for 9 years. Following a few years working in the private and charitable sectors, I returned to Parliament Hill working as a Procedural Clerk in both the House of Commons and the Senate of Canada for the last 5 years. As a graduate with a major in Political Science, concentration in Canadian Politics, minor in Law, I can’t imagine a better place to put my studies into full effect.
Without a doubt, my experiences as a Political Science student at Carleton University form the foundation to the success I’ve achieved in my career on Parliament Hill.
