Since graduating, Matt has helped manage the Hill office of an MP in Ottawa. This includes writing briefing notes, staffing committees, advising on issues, and administrative duties related to the House of Commons.
At Carleton, Matt learned to write succinctly and to effectively research a policy issue. He appreciates the department’s emphasis on seminar-based discussions, which prepare students for the live element of working in politics.
