Fire Reports – Dunton Tower

At approximately 7:30 p.m. on August 19, 2009, CSS officers were dispatched to a fire alarm activation in Dunton Tower. Ottawa Fire Services were requested to attend. On arrival, officers noted that there were no visible signs of smoke or flames. Upon further inquiry, the cause of the alarm was found to be the result of contractors cutting concrete which created large amounts of dust that inadvertently set off the building’s fire alarm system. Ottawa Fire Services gave the all clear and requested the building’s alarm be reset.
