Campus Safety Officers wear purple ribbons
Nov. 25, 2013 – For immediate release.
The Campus Safety Services’s Campus Safety Officers will be wearing purple ribbons to support the Shine the Light campaign.
The campaign, which takes place during Women Abuse Prevention month, aims to increase community awareness of violence against women and girls. The colour purple is a symbol of courage, survival and honour.
The Campus Safety Services is proud to support the Ottawa Coalition To End Violence Against Women (OCTEVAW) and are committed to public awareness of this critical issue.
Campus Safety Officers will be wearing the purple ribbons, during the 16 days of activism against gender violence, until Dec. 10th 2013.
